By signing this application, I agree that PAWS has the right to verify any of the information provided herein.

I agree to abide by the mission statement, rules, regulations, policies and programs of PAWS while I am volunteering with or fostering for PAWS.

If I stop volunteering with PAWS, or upon PAWS’ request at any time, I shall promptly return all of PAWS’ property, including any foster animals in my care.

I understand and agree that public relations is an important part of volunteering with PAWS, and I will allow PAWS to use any photographs, images taken of me, or any likeness, in PAWS’ public relations and marketing efforts in any way PAWS sees fit. PAWS will use reasonable efforts to notify me, but such notification is not an expressed or implied condition to the release and use of photographs, etc., for public relations purposes.

I understand and agree that PAWS will make the decisions as to the care and placement of all PAWS foster animals. PAWS and only PAWS, has the final decision as to whether a PAWS animal will be placed in an adoptive home or sent to another facility or adoption center. If a fosterer decides to adopt a foster animal, an adoption fee will be charged.

I agree to care for foster animals in my home with love and respect. I agree to ensure that they have food, water, shelter and attention. I will not abuse or neglect any foster animals in my care. If PAWS determines that these conditions are not met, PAWS reserves the right to remove foster animals from my care.

All foster animals remain the property of PAWS. If PAWS decides to remove foster animals from my home, I agree that PAWS has the right, without further notice or demand, to enter the premises where the animal is housed and remove the animal without process of law. I agree to waive all claims for trespass or damage.

I recognize that while performing tasks, including handling animals for PAWS, there exists a risk of injury or illness to my own or others’ animals, me, my family and other persons who come into contact with any PAWS animal, as well as risk of personal property loss or damage. I assume the risk of all injuries and property loss or damage in connection with my volunteer activities for PAWS.

I agree that PAWS is not liable to me for any injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, judgments, costs or expenses whatsoever, which I might suffer or sustain in connection with the performance of my volunteer or foster activities for PAWS at their adoption facility or any off-site adoption facility (e.g., PetSmart).

I hereby release PAWS, its officers, directors, participants, volunteers and affiliates from any and all claims, actions, liabilities, damages, and costs of any kind arising out of transportation, fostering, or any other work or activity with any animal connected with PAWS.
